Alexander Halishchuk

I was on the verge of mental breakdown because of my stiff schedule, but with the pandemic I was able to combine several tasks at once.

The pandemic started at a secomd semester of my 3 year at Kyiv National Linguistic University and at the middle of courses in Kyiv Academy of Media Arts. I was on the verge of mental breakdown because of my stiff schedule, but with the pandemic I was able to combine several tasks at once. I educated myself, found self-inddiference, understood my gender identity, learned about posthumanism, theological philosophy, saw my privileges as a white person and most important the pandemic helped me to reconnect with my inner lost and scared child.

The project (that I worked on during the pandemic) is about a search for answers to myself and inner emptiness in a closed space of my flat as a part of external chaos, that is caused by a fear of crisis, political abuse of power in the situation, a crisis in a healthcare sector, an increase of domestic violence; acts of racism, homophobia, vandalism and violence in general caused by increasing numbers of conspiracy theories.
