The first quarantine period was the most productive for me.
I went to the studio and spent whole days creating works. And besides that, I walked with friends on the roof of the house where I have a studio.
The need to go to the office disappeared, no one called for coffee, all meetings were only in nature. And I was very happy about it.
Nothing distracted me from art. Some of my acquaintances were stressed by the lockdown, but for me this period was only a joy. Most of my artwork from that period was in very vibrant colors.
Working on this big acrylic painting I thought about interactions in the society in times of straight quarantine. It’s usual for human beings to interact and communicate, but during covid-19 quarantine, a lot of us were physically disconnected. Though online connection survived. So it’s a question is it enough to just interact online.

To visualize my feelings I combined 9 canvases into one big canvas and after the painting was completed I divided it into separate pieces. Now you can place pieces on any distance you want. You decide should it be connected or disconnected society. Each piece has one letter from the word “interaction” (взаємодія – in Ukrainian).
