Coronavirus spreads uncertainty and anxiety…
Marharyta Hrechkosii
Pandemic of Covid19 influenced the world in whole and everyone personally.
I had faced many psychological and philosophical questions during this period. Quarantine did not change my art process as I already had been working from home before it started. My family and I had Covid-19 in March 2021.
Coronavirus spreads uncertainty and anxiety, which makes us direct our gaze inward in search of inner stability and support. This determined the path I have passed during the pandemic.
My intention to fight and oppose was replaced by acceptance.
In my work virus is presented as a part of the world, existing and developing, passing its stages and life cycles. However, to become alive, meeting, intersection of virus and living cell, has to happen. At this moment, a decision is made, whether the virus will be able to overcome the protection of cell, will replication happen, will there be further spread of RNA. The fate of the virus and cell touches each other..
