Dmitriy Zazimko

During COVID-19 I discovered new and long-delayed directions, namely I combined my paintings with riddles, some artifacts became interactive and I began to use AR technologies that interact with the ARTIVIVE application.

For example, the panel «Enigma» belongs to the «Artifact» collection, where the desire of a person is laid in the knowledge of the values and relics of various civilizations, with the help of which we have learned to understand the ancients, read texts and decipher hieroglyphs… I create my work on wooden tablets with epoxy resin, acrylic mass and paints, using an own technique.

Picture interact with the ARTIVIVE app to complement its AR reality. Also, this picture is an art-riddle, where I wrote secret message using my own printing type. How to read secret message: ◦ it is written in a familiar language; ◦ you need to use your imagination; ◦ this is a famous quote; ◦ or use «ARTIVIVE» app on your phone.

«Mickey Mouse «Buddha story», Dmitriy Zazimko, acrylic on canvas, acrylic mass, ink, 2020

«Mickey Mouse «Buddha story» is the result of experiments with differents directions in quarantine. During the creation of the work, I transferred my «RustArt» to the canvas using acrylic paints and masses, and added a touch of the East with the help of various computer programs and AR technologies, what can be viewed using the ARTIVIVE mobile application.

The main idea of the picture, like other works from the «RustArt» collection, is showing the moment of creation and destruction, the struggle of man and time with the things of our environment – when time shows its strength and character, providing familiar things with new abstract strokes, controlling the elements like a brush, and man only remains to observe and understand that he is only a small part of this great process of creating beauty…
