Tetiana Ocheredko

I spent the whole year of 2020 and the beginning of 2021 in a foreign country in a way I could not return. In my works, I began to focus more on emotions, to experiment more with technique, color and shape. My art just got more personal.

In my works, I portrayed my feelings of being in another country during a lockdown. I visualized the emotions that I felt from the fact that I could not return home.

Being in lockdown in another camp, I noticed that over time, memories fade, you forget how the city looks like, your favorite streets.

When details disappear, the emotions that you felt become more vivid. In works, large strokes are a visualized image of emotions that become brighter over time. Fragments of the city show that the picture of familiar places disappears over time. Fear of getting sick drives them out of memory.

The works are made in the technique of color silk-screen printing. The three works are based on a common idea and concept.
