…it is quite obvious already that means of art communication have changed…

Oleksii Revika

I imagined the environment where I was when time passed by me, and time was static. There was a day and there were years – all seemed well planned and foreseen. Probably that was not only about me – life schedules are formed collectively, and everyone of us is a participant of society life. But it only seemed that way.

The world can change in seconds! It was impossible to imagine once… but now it is like that. The city that I entered each day is now unreachable. Usual ways of communication are not available. I and all of us at last belong to ourselves to the fullest. One could only dream about that before; it was impossible to imagine. How could one leave society and stay part of it at the same time? Now we are facing many new questions that were not on the agenda before.

Now is the time when one can focus on self and beloved ones. Feel how precious life is and time of our lives. To change oneself and the future of the world. How art can change during the pandemic? How it will transform artistic expression? It is not an easy question to answer. But it is quite obvious already that means of art communication have changed. It happened due to creation of online art platforms, digital art world is much more open, democratic and transparent.

Obviously art is not a product for everyday life and it is not for everyone, but the fact that galleries, lectures, artists and artistic expression moved to online makes modern art much more accessible, because now you don’t need to go anywhere and spend time and efforts to see pieces of art. Free access will most probably change relationship between artists and viewers, will create new cultural layer and altogether new point of view on cultural development.
