The period of the pandemic greatly influenced the art world. And undoubtedly the work of artists in particular. This year became one of the most productive in my career, as I visited the workshop less and less and mostly worked at home in comfortable conditions.
In my opinion, the pandemic made people think about global and very important things, such as empathy and mutual assistance. Nowadays, the issues of environmental problems sound very relevant, to which I have dedicated a series of works – “Shadows of Unforgotten Ancestors”. This is an important topic and I believe that artists should reflect on it, speak in the language of art with the viewer about future and pressing problems. Nature abhors a vacuum, and we do not know what other viruses can occupy the niche of extinct animals.
A series of zoomorphic images of animals that are on the verge of extinction, in which I create a holistic picture of the world. To convey the interconnection of all life on earth.
