“Culture and art: current trends and prospects”.
Proceedings of the All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference
Today, the cultural sphere is gradually becoming a virtual reality, creating a new comfort zone for participants in the art market: museums, art galleries, auction houses, artists, collectors, art dealers and more. The art sphere in turn, feels the influence of the social context and through the concept of relevance responds to the events of its time.
Each era has its own characteristics, and depending on the strength of economic, social, political, environmental and other factors, there are changes that form the vector of cultural development.
A distinctive feature of the art of the XXI century is the transition to virtual reality, which has received a new impetus due to the pandemic that has finally consolidated digital art in the priority areas of art of the new century.
Having stopped, the whole world began to adapt to the changed conditions, opening other ways of development of the cultural industry. Losing an audience for a visitor-oriented sector has negative consequences, but virtual and digital reality allows art market participants to see prospects and benefits where others see disadvantages.
Development and implementation of a cultural event in conditions of quarantine and complete restriction of social activity, requires a relevant and non-standard focus. As a result, a different approach to art project management is emerging, and professions of the future, such as virtual space curators and augmented reality architects, are arising.
Despite the limited exhibition activities, curators find ways to support cultural life within the framework of social activity, and in this they are helped by cyberspace. The virtual gallery “Mokonshu”, which opened during the quarantine with the group art project “Who am I today”, has joined the Kyiv projects, which continue to develop the cultural sphere in new conditions.
